Relations between the Netherlands and Ireland are outstanding. Our friendship goes back a long way, and that is something we should cherish, especially at this time of international turbulence. We work together closely in Europe on topics such as competitiveness, energy and security. What’s more, in July Ireland will take over the EU Presidency. It was good to discuss these subjects with Prime Minister Martin at the Catshuis residence this evening. And of course we also discussed the latest developments concerning the Middle East, as well as our support for Ukraine.
