Relations between the Netherlands and Estonia are outstanding. Situated on Europe’s eastern border, Estonia is a key partner – both bilaterally and at EU and NATO level – in promoting democratic values and European security. So it was a pleasure to receive President @AlarKaris in The Hague today.
The threat posed by Russia is a palpable daily reality in Estonia. We discussed the need to keep supporting Ukraine and maintain the pressure on Russia. I assured the president of the Netherlands’ continued engagement in the protection of Europe’s eastern flank.
For the Netherlands, Estonia is a leading example when it comes to digitalisation, and we will continue working together closely in this field too.
