The Netherlands will continue to support Ukraine. In this regard we are making a firm commitment to collaborating with Ukraine’s defence industry. In part, this means the procurement of drones from Ukrainian companies, but it also entails the co-production of Ukrainian drones by Dutch companies. Today, President @ZelenskyyUa and I gave extra impetus to this deepening of our cooperation by signing a declaration of intent.
Over the coming period we will invest €248 million in drone production in the Netherlands. And I’m glad to note that the first joint project for drone production was launched today, with the signing of a cooperation agreement by the companies VDL and Greentech-Harvest.
We are hereby strengthening the production and innovative capacities of Dutch industry, which is a crucial part of efforts to expand our European defence capabilities.
