Yom HaZikaron, Israel's Memorial day for Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terrorism, is one of the most solemn and meaningful days in Israeli society.
We welcome it with heavy hearts - a day dedicated to mourning all those we have lost, both in battle and in acts of terror.
In every generation, we have been forced to fight for our existence. And those we honor today gave their lives so that we could continue to live, to build, and to thrive in our homeland.
